How to make it

   Put the beef stock in a (soup) pan and add the shank, marrowbone and (optional) soup meat.

   Let this simmer for a few hours on low heat.

   Remove the shank and marrow bone from the soup and cut the meat on the shank into small pieces and add them to the stock.

   Add the farmer's soup vegetables. If you have some vegetables or herbs in the refrigerator, you can also add them. The lovage is already starting to grow in my herb garden and I still had parsley.

   Done

   For the meatballs: put the minced meat in a bowl and add a rusk, egg, pepper, salt, nutmeg and some paprika powder. Mix this and make small balls and add them to the soup.

   Add some tabasco for a little spice.
